4 islands, 16 nights "fly and drive" special

1st day: Arrival to Honolulu. Hawaii Connection's airport greeter welcomes you with a hawaiian flower lei, and assists with the luggage and rental car pick up procedure. (A rental car is at your disposition during the whole trip.) If so desired, the greeter will be happy to provide you with practical information about the locale.

2nd - 5th day: Free activity on Oahu island. Relax or discover of the island's attractions at your leisure. The Polynesian Cultural Center is an impressive tropical showcase of the Polynesian cultural heritage. Pearl Harbor offers a glimpse to the important event of World War 2. Visit Sea Life Park, Hanauma Bay or Waimea Valley Park botanical garden with its 7000 plant species. The latter contains the ruins of an ancient Hawaiian village as well; at the end of its mile long trial, professional divers jump into a lake from tall cliffs. Oahu's unhurried scenic north shore still reminds on Hawaii of the past century, while the south coast is a bustling, flashy international entertainment capital.

6th day: After check-out, depart to the airport A 35 minutes scenic early afternoon flight to the island of Hawaii above several islands of the Hawaii chain. Upon arrival, rental car pick up, hotel check-in and free activity on Hawaii island.

7th - 8th day: Free activity. Hawaii, (a.k.a. the "Big Island") has 11 of the 13 known climatic zones of the world. It was the first Hawaiian island to be settled by Polynesians 2000 years ago, and today some of the most sacred ancient Hawaiian sites can still be seen here. Its area (more than twice the size of all the other islands combined) encompasses the most active volcano on earth, exuberant rain forests, a village swept away by lava flow, orchid farms, beautiful waterfalls, and black, white and green sand beaches. Shop for colorful topical produce and local artifacts on the weekly Hilo market, visit the nearby Rainbow Falls, or hop by the local macadamia plantation for a delicious sample!


9th day: Check-out the early afternoon, and a 20 minutes flight to Kahului, Maui island with Aloha Airlines. Upon arrival, rental car pick up, hotel check-in and free activity. Romantic Maui, known for its verdant valleys, sparkling white sand beaches and laid-back historic towns is quickly becoming "the" Hawaiian destination for a growing number of people. It's a heaven for snorkel and surf afficionados, while historic Lahaina, Hawaii's erstwhile capital offers many interesting artifacts to history buffs.

10th - 12th day: Free activity on Maui. Catch a glimpse of sunrise on the top of Haleakala crater, drive through the meandering "Highway To Paradise" to Hana through scenery of postcard-ready beauty, or laze on magnificient Kaanapali Beach. Explore Lahaina the old whaling town, where today whale watching tours visit the mating dance of the huge sea mammals between November and April

13th day: After check-out, depart to the airport A 30 minutes scenic early afternoon flight to the island of Kauai. Upon arrival, rental car pick up, hotel check-in and free activity on Kauai.

14th - 16th day: Free activity. Kauai (a.k.a. "Garden Island") sports the most breathtaking South Seas scenery of any Hawaiian island. Visit the Waimea Canyon, the biggest canyon of the Pacific. Take a boat ride on Wailua river to the Fern Grotto cave, the place of many ancient Hawaiian wedding ceremonies. The islands' northern shore is the long time favorite filming spot for romantic Soth Seas movies, while the south shore where the road ends is the home of the famous "barking sands" beach. Far away Na Pali Coast is accessible by boat or helicopter; the visitor can ejoy a "private beach", surrounded by the steep seaside cliffs . Kauai's other attractiond are the Kalalau Lookout, Lihue Town, Poipu Beach and the Opaekaa Falls.

17th day: The exploration ends in the early afternoon hours with the return of the rental car.

Don't leave your kids home, either. The accommodation throughout te islands consists of rooms with 2 double beds. Children under 17 - 18 can in most hotels stay free with their parents. Their participation in this fly and drive program costs only $345 per child.
